Walter Dean Myers is the new National Ambassador for Young People's Literature. He has written more than 100 books for young adults. His platform for the next two years is "Reading is not optional." Read more about him here: Publisher's Weekly. We have many of his books in our library, including Monster which was the first winner of the Michael L. Printz Award. Come and check them out!
I've added a handful of book trailers under "Find a Great Book." If you have read a great book you can make a book trailer, too! Visit Animoto.com, make a trailer, and send it to me. I will put it on our website.
